Inspector General of Police (IGP) AKM Shahidul Hoque on Sunday said Bangladesh was now recognised as role model for the fight against militancy, highlighting the significant contributions from Bangladesh police in anti-militancy operations. IGP Shahidul said: “The CTTC has been making progress every day. These standards will be maintained.”He added that the success of anti-militancy operations was also largely owed to increased importance being given to the collection of intelligence data soon enough to prevent attacks. Subsequently, the IGP handed over incentive money to the DMP commissioner and CTTC chief, for heroism in the successful operation of drives against militants. Various high officials of police were present at the program.
