IEBC should fight voter apathy

Even as voter registration ends tomorrow, the electoral commission should ensure those they have registered vote. Voter apathy in our country is at an all-time high and unless remedial measures are in place, we may experience a very low turnout in the next General Election. The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission ought to consider its vast number of electoral officials participating in the elections cast their ballot. IEBC needs to enhance voter education to guarantee high turnout and minimal spoilt and rejected votes. We all know that politicians will embark on selling their candidature and political parties expecting civic societies and IEBC to enlighten Kenyans on the importance of voting.
