The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission has invited chairpersons and secretary generals of all political parties conducting nominations for a meeting on Sunday. IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati said in a statement on Saturday that the enforcement of the electoral code of conduct and the conduct of party primaries will be part of the main agenda. “In the meantime, the commission urges all political parties involved in party primaries to do so in a peaceful, transparent and credible manner,” Chebukati said. The Jubilee party announced on Saturday that fresh nominations will be held on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday next week. ODM will also hold nominations on Monday in Homabay, Migori, Siaya, Kisumu and Uasin Gishu counties.
