The IEBC selection panel have announced that they have officially started the process of appointing IEBC Commissioners including the Chairman. Makanda is firm that the process of recruiting IEBC was stopped due to heightened political temperatures in the country. This is bad news to the Azimio leader Raila Odinga for he is not comfortable with IEBC selection panel. However, it's obvious that president Ruto followed the law firmly when he appointed the IEBC selection panel. The Azimio leadership refused to be part of the process of recruiting IEBC Commissioners and obviously this will affect them badly in future elections.
