During a recent conversation with a friend, a rather remarkable fact about Yellowstone National Park came to light – and, as a purveyor of all things Yellowstone, I was astonished that I was only just being made aware of it. Namely, did you know that in one small area atop this famous supervolcano it’s legally possible to murder someone? No, I’m not saying you should actually go to Yellowstone and murder someone. As he told Vox last year, this means that unlike anywhere else in the United States, the District of Wyoming includes land in other states. Say you decided to murder someone in the Idaho section of the park.
