Manohar said this Thursday at Le Meridian Hotel in Dhaka during the second day of his three-day visit to Bangladesh. During his reception programme, the ICC boss also got to look at the model of the proposed Sheikh Hasina International Cricket Stadium in Purbachal. BCB chief Nazmul Hasan, the BCB directors, former and current Bangladesh cricket team captains and the Bangladesh women cricketers were also present. Regarding this much talked about issue, Manohar said, “We are trying to see whether Test championship can generate interest, because Test cricket is actually dying to be honest. The board directors came to a conclusion that if we start a Test championship, it would keep Test cricket alive and generate more interest in the game.
