MANILA, Philippines — A mission of peace and justice is not only for those who wield power or authority but should be a mission for everyone, the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) through its National President Domingo Egon Cayosa said in a New Year’s Day message. “May 2020 start a decade of clearer visions, realized objectives, and a bit of heroism in every lawyer and in every citizen,” he said. Cayosa said they are hoping that the new decade will put an end to the past decade’s problems. The IBP also renewed its commitment to the rule of law and “justice bilis.”“We thank all those who made it possible for us to be faithful sentinels of the rule of law,” he said. “By being more efficient, transparent, accountable and in partnership and collaboration with others, we were able to do more, better, and faster at IBP,” he added.
