MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police Internal Affairs Service (PNP-IAS) has recommended the dismissal of Police Lieutenant Colonel Jigger Noceda, former PNP Custodial Unit chief, over the sexual abuse case lodged against him by detained former Ozamiz Vice Mayor Nova Parojinog. The PNP chief will then decide whether Noceda’s dismissal from police service will push through, said Triambulo. Under Republic Act 8551 or the PNP Reform and Reorganization Act of 1998, the IAS will handle the investigation on police involved in violating police procedures and regulations.
