The ADP candidate made the promise to people from various communities under Lagelu Local Government who converged at the Ifesowapo CICU hall for a town hall meeting with him and other candidates of the party. Also at Adeyipo village, Alao-Akala promised to develop the community because of the importance of the African Heritage Research and Cultural Library to the development of education within the state and the preservation of the heritage and norms of the society. “This village has something that is important to the development of our state especially in terms of education; the library is an asset that should be utilised maximally. We will ensure that we open this place up and make it accessible to the people,” Alao-Akala stated. The villagers had asked for power supply and water to help them curb the imminent return of guinea worm disease threatening the community.
