Subrata Paul Calcutta/New Delhi: Star goalkeeper Subrata Paul is staring at a ban — anything between two to four years — for failing an out-of-competition dope test, which was conducted by the National Anti Doping Agency (Nada) in Mumbai last month. According to All India Football Federation (AIFF) sources, the India and DSK Shivajians footballer’s A sample tested positive for a for banned substance, terbutaline. The AIFF general secretary Kushal Das said he was surprised to find the goalkeeper had failed the dope test. I am not a cheat and I will fight till the end to clear my name. In the Mumbai camp, everyone was tested and I am shocked to know that only I failed,” Paul added.
