Alistair Nelson, Montie FM presenter Salifu Maase also known as Mugabe and Godwin Ako Gunn, were jailed by the Supreme Court for contempt after they heard them scandalising judges on radio. There were granted remission by President John Mahama after serving just one-month of the four-month jail term slapped on them. Speaking to Accra-based Adom FM, Nelson said even though inmates at the Nsawam Prison treated them well, life in prison is difficult. Meanwhile, a private legal practitioner has filed a suit at the Supreme Court challenging the legality of the decision by the President in activating article 72 of the constitution in granting remission to the three.
