Chukwudi Akasike, Port HarcourtFormer governor of Rivers State and Minister of Transportation, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, has said that he did not sleep as he fought insecurity while at the helm of affairs in the state. Amaechi added that the security of lives and property of the people and human capital development were his key achievements as governor from 2007 to 2015. Amaechi said, “Don’t forget that when I became the governor, the people were living in fear. Amaechi alleged that in contrast to the successes achieved by his administration in Rivers State, the security situation in the state has worsened under Governor Nyesom Wike as people were now being kidnapped on a daily basis. Okah said, “Under his (Amaechi) tenure, people were also being kidnapped and killed.
