Stuff's owner says it will run the New Zealand publishing business itself if it can not attract a suitable buyer. Nine has been looking to sell Stuff since inheriting the business during its A$4 billion (NZ$4.2 billion) merger with former owner Fairfax Media last year. Nine boss Hugh Marks did not rule out Nine deciding to retain the Stuff business as far back as January, when he made it clear nothing was off the table.
