I have lived long enough to see the loyalist of the loyal turn around to favor their own hardships and drop their loyalty. I am not a psychologist but I do observe people and lived on Planet Earth long enough to see loyalty really tested. He does have a MAGA cult but when things start turning on these loyalists, loyalty moves into self preservation. It is natural to protect one’s own surroundings once they feel the pain of injury from their idol’s betrayal. History has proven so many times, that misplaced loyalty comes to no good end for the one insecure being demanding it.
