Interim reliefThe beleaguered builder has been granted a week’s interim relief by the Bombay High Court till November 23 to repay his investors. “I am not like Vijay Mallya to flee the country and live abroad…We [the DSK group] are going to return everyone’s dues, be they Fixed Deposit [FD] holders or suppliers,” emphasised Mr. Kulkarni, at a press conference here. The developer’s lawyers had earlier told the Bombay High Court that the amount due for payment to the depositors exceeded ₹200 crore. The Kulkarnis, facing prospect of arrest, had then moved the Bombay High Court against the Pune court’s order and were granted interim relief. EOW officials said they would be conducting a forensic audit of the accounts of firms owned by Mr. Kulkarni.
