A guy with a glowing Navi on his shirt came up to us and presented our team with three laminated Nintendo Switch tickets. We were told that Nintendo had a Switch-based event in a backroom at the event, and that we had earned a “special” prize by winning. The Nintendo Switch event was run by Nintendo staffers in red Switch tees, and had seven consoles hooked up to seven TVs in the back room where everyone from the event was invited to play Switch games from 1-2-Switch to Snipperclips to Breath of the Wild. I was hoping they’d given him a Switch, but they gave him a Breath of the Wild polo shirt. And the Breath of the Wild timed scavenger hunt officiated by Nintendo was a blast, and a totally unexpected bonus.
