What followed was a crashed website and a wait-list of 18,000 for the next made-in-Germany batch to be shipped later in the summer. The translucent pink of the gummy bears and gummy roses is the colour of summer itself, glowing like jewels in these twin plastic cubes. A gummy candy can’t possibly taste as good as months-long hype and artful presentation make it seem, can it?
