I’ve been on national television for 16 years and for all 16 I wore an ash on Ash Wednesday. But it’s shocking to me that I’m one of the few faces you see on TV wearing an ash. Among ESPN viewers, it’s well known I’ll be wearing the ash and there’s an expectation. If that’s true for one’s personal faith, isn’t it also true of capital F, Faith? What happens if it feels like the world isn’t progressing the way it should?
