The former governor of Ogun State, Chief Olusegun Osoba, has promised to stand as guarantor for the governorship candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC), Prince Dapo Abiodun, over issues relating to workers’ welfare. Osoba while addressing the labour leaders promised that Abiodun would be a labour-friendly governor if elected into office with an assurance that Abiodun would emerge as the next governor of the state. The former governor assured the workers that Abiodun would set up a committee of past serving government officials and labour leaders to strategise on how to ameliorate workers challenges. He will never disappoint workers and all the people of Ogun State,” Osoba added. This mistrust is not unexpected given the experiences of Ogun State workers and the electorate in general over the years.
