The speeding car was driven by an engineering student K Sharvil who was allegedly drunk. Madhusudan ended up with a leg fracture while Ramesh and Radhika also received serious injuries. CCTV footage at a bar they visited confirmed they consumed liquor and then started driving back home in their car. Sharvil, a student of Keshav Memorial Engineering College at Narayanaguda, has been arrested and sent to judicial custody.
