Hutt Valley police have laid charges relating to a series of alleged burglaries, with two people facing 37 charges between them. A 28-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman were arrested in Upper Hutt on Wednesday for a number of dishonesty offences. The two are facing 25 burglary charges and 12 shoplifting charges between them, and the woman is also facing one charge of assaulting police. The man will appear in the Hutt Valley District Court on June 14, and the woman on June 15. A 42-year-old man was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm and will appear in Hutt Valley District Court on June 14.
