According to Yemini, her husband usually beats her like a primary school pupil, asking her to kneel down and stretch her hands before caning her. She also claims that her husband, on many occasions, threatens to end her life and dispose of her dead body without the neighbours noticing. She went on to push the court to end the marriage and hand over all responsibilities to the husband.
