In a statement issued today, a garda spokesman said: "Gardai in Donnybrook investigating the murder of Joanne Lee in February 2018 have arrested a male in his early 40's in connection with the murder. Joanne was discovered strangled and wrapped in a sleeping bag inside a wardrobe in a south Dublin bedsit on February 15. Lee fell from the third-floor window of the property on Ranelagh Road in South Dublin, as gardai knocked on the door of his apartment. After the relationship ended Joanne, whose maiden name was Ball, had moved back in with her parents in Garristown, County Dublin near the Meath border.
