A Hurricanes spokesman said the team took CAA rules seriously. Coach Chris Boyd revealed some of his players watched the Lions' shock loss to the Jaguares livestreaming while in-flight, breaching rules. The Hurricanes will be reminding their players and staff that they need to put their phones on in-flight mode when they are flying. A CAA spokesman said civil aviation rules prohibit use of transmitting portable electronic devices. Offenders breaching the rules are liable on conviction to a fine of $2500.
