Hurricanes coach Chris Boyd is short-listed to replace Warren Gatland at Wales in 2019, with former Chiefs mentor Dave Rennie and Wayne Pivac the other Kiwis in the mix. Both Boyd and Rennie have coached sides to Super Rugby titles - Boyd in 2016 and Rennie in 2012 and 2013. Wales Online said the WRU wanted the successor to be known by next summer, Glasgow Warriors coach Rennie, Boyd and Scarlets coach Pivac were said to be on the shortlist, with two others also featuring in WRU conversations.
