Hurricane Teddy has P.E.I. in its sights


should expect rain and winds next week as Hurricane Teddy moves up the Eastern Seaboard. The latest update from the National Hurricane Center in the U.S. is that Hurricane Teddy is still a major Category 4 hurricane, producing sustained winds of 215 kilometres an hour. Teddy's track now extends across P.E.I. This wknd be sure to clear downspouts, secure loose objects outdoors & update emergency kit. He recommends storing away loose objects around the yard, like patio furniture or trampolines, and clearing downspouts, as well as making sure storm drains are free from debris.
