The Waikato town of Huntly has taken out this year's "worst town" award, although some disagree. "It took them three goes, but Huntly has finally taken out the title of S... Town of the Year," wrote the group. Huntly received nearly 15,000 votes in the final showdown against Porirua, taking 67 per cent of the vote to win the worst town competition. However, The Breeze Waikato said it was disappointed Huntly was crowned worst town. "Today we are celebrating the awesomeness that is Huntly ... We love Huntly because of the incredible people there," the post read.
