Hungary has reached an agreement with Tunisia on mutually recognizing COVID-19 immunity documents, the Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Péter Szijjártó, has confirmed. Up to this point, Hungary has managed to reach agreements on mutual recognition of COVID-19 certificates with a total of 26 countries. The decision regarding the mutual recognition of COVID-19 certificates comes after the talks held between the Hungarian Foreign Minister and counterpart Othman Jerandi. The Hungarian Minister has stressed that increasing the vaccination rate and easing pressure posed by migrants from Africa is essential for Europe’s security. Despite such figures, authorities in Hungary are continuously attempting to find alternative ways in order to permit the travel process to continue amid the COVID-19 situation.
