Hundreds queue up to buy produce at Jamal's 'cheap fish market' - Nation

SHAH ALAM: A drizzle failed to deter hundreds of people from queuing up to buy produce that were being sold at the weekly "cheap fish market" mooted by Red Shirts leader Datuk Seri Jamal Md Yunos here. Shah Alam Barisan Nasional chief Datuk Azhari Shaari, who was at the market, said that this was the second time the "cheap fish market" was held in Shah Alam. Other than fresh fish and processed chicken, the market also sold cooking gas at RM20 each and various fruits and vegetables at lower prices. When asked on a local leader who called for action to be taken against the "cheap fish market", Azhari said the initiative was only meant to help the people without breaking any law. "We cannot deny that we faced difficulties when we wanted to offer the cheap fish market in Selangor since we are not the state government.
