A double-decker Airbus A380 – marketed as the world's largest commercial aircraft flying today – carries 544. The number of dead bodies arriving in New Zealand in a single year would almost fill the world's largest passenger plane. In the past year, 539 dead bodies arrived in New Zealand, compared to just 199 that left for overseas. Customs has released figures, under the Official Information Act, for corpses it dealt with in the year till May.
