The meeting at Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum took place five years after the last major gathering of survivors at the site. In total, about 400,000 Holocaust survivors live around the world today, according to the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany. As they share their eyewitness testimonies, the world will hear what they lived through, an unparalleled tool in Holocaust education.”
