It has brought the hunting community together.’’A NZTF petition, urging DOC to halt the 2020-21 tahr cull and review the plan, has so far received more than 40,000 signatures. NZTF president Snow Hewetson said he supported the Tahr Jam event, and was not surprised about the opposition to DOC’s plans. However, Hewetson said there was no urgency for DOC’s cull to take place as the Department had been targeting nanny tahr.
