People of different faiths and races have come together in Palmerston North to express their dismay at rising violence between Israel and Palestine. Hundreds gathered in Te Marae o Hine-The Square​ on Saturday afternoon as part of a series of nationwide protests. Palestinian, New Zealand and tino rangatiratanga flags were flown, placards held and chants like “free, free Palestine” and “from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free” voiced.
