Hanson Robotics, the firm behind the humanoid robot, has launched a ‘Little Sophia’ robot , which is aimed at children aged 7-13. Like Sophia, Little Sophia has a human-like face - albeit with slightly more doll-like features than the original - and a mechanical body. Measuring just 14 inches tall, the mini version is significantly smaller than the original Sophia, but has many of the same features. Hanson Robotics hopes the robot will inspire young girls to explore STEM subjects.
