Human trafficking: NAPTIP uses golf to raise awareness


THE National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) on Friday took its awareness efforts on the ills of human trafficking and forced labour to the IBB Golf Course in Abuja. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the event held at the Ladies Golf Tournament at the course. Mrs Julie Okah-Donli, the Director-General of NAPTIP, told NAN that the agency was determined to use all available strategies and collaborations to tackle the ill of human trafficking. “This is the ladies golf tournament here, and we see this as a good avenue to further create awareness on the ills of human trafficking, forced labour, and illegal migration. NAN reports that NAPTIP earlier reinforced its commitment to work with the Nigerian Immigration Service and some foreign embassies to reduce incidents of trafficking in Nigeria.
