His assistant, Andy Crosby, is also set to depart the KCOM Stadium after contract talks stalled and Adkins decided their futures are "not aligned". Adkins took over the job after the sacking of Leonid Slutsky in December 2017 and signed an 18-month contract. "The unity the supporters have shown with the staff and players has also been very special. Hull remain up for sale, with their owner, Assem Allam, looking for a buyer to take over the former Premier League outfit.
