Toronto might be getting back some lost tunes — Hugh’s Room revealed Thursday that it’s planning to reopen its doors the week of April 19. In an announcement on the folk-jazz venue’s Facebook page, Hugh’s Room says a new lease was signed Thursday. “The club needs a minimum of two weeks to get everything back in shape to open the doors and begin our renewed vision,” the statement reads. “We are projecting that we will finally open in the week of April 19.”This reopening is credited to a new non-profit that was formed to manage the club. Hugh’s Room, a club and full-service restaurant on Dundas St. W., played host to musical talents from Pete Seeger and Ian and Sylvia to Serena Ryder, and is also known for hosting tribute nights to artists such as Joni Mitchell.
