FoxThe Greatest Showman pulled off a trick worthy of a pioneering entertainer. The PT Barnum musical biopic had a soft-ish start last weekend, earning just $19 million over its six-day opening. The Hugh Jackman/Zac Efron/Michelle Williams/Rebecca Ferguson/Zendaya release should make around $20m over the Fri-Mon frame for a new $54m 13-day total. A $90 million+ domestic total is possible for the well-liked circus melodrama, but that $84m budget means it'll still need hefty overseas returns. But the future looks a heck of a lot brighter for Greatest Showman than it did a week ago.
