20th Century FoxThe Wolverine's global domination extended to India last weekend as the final edition of Hugh Jackman’s franchise was the emphatic victor, out-muscling the sequel to Vidyut Jammwal’s 2013 hit Commando: A One Man Army. Directed by James Mangold and co-starring Patrick Stewart, Richard E. Grant, Boyd Holbrook, Stephen Merchant and Dafne Keen, Logan rang up an estimated 17 crore ($2.5 million) net, equating to a gross of $3.4 million, on 1,400 screens. According to 20th Century Fox that’s the highest debt for any X-Men title in the territory, marginally ahead of X-Men Apocalypse which ended up grossing $7 million. Reliance Entertainment showed plenty of confidence in first-time director Deven Bhojani's Commando 2: The Black Money Trail by launching the action-thriller on 2,200 screens. Produced by Vipal Shah, the film took an estimated 14.10 crore ($2.1 million) net in three days, just $50,000 on 51 screens in the U.S. and, per ComScore, $11,000 on 11 in Australia.
