Hugh Hefner's final resting place? Right next to Marilyn Monroe, Playboy's first cover girl

Playboy founder Hugh Hefner died on Wednesday at the age of 91, but he had already made plans for his burial 25 years ago. It’s right next to Marilyn Monroe, the iconic actress and sex symbol who died in 1962 and graced the cover of the first-ever Playboy magazine in 1953. For $75,000, Hefner got a much better deal than the person who bought the crypt directly above Monroe. It had once belonged to Richard Poncher, an entrepreneur who instructed his wife to bury him above Monroe and upside down. Twenty bids were received, with bidding starting at $500,000, until the storied crypt was sold for a whopping $4.6 million.
