But during a snorkeling excursion in Crystal River over the weekend, the Florida woman said she had a "once in a lifetime experience" she'll never forget. While swimming amongst a sea of manatees with her cousin on Friday, Egner was approached by a curious, slow-moving sea cow. After about 20 minutes, the manatee approached and "hugged" Egner before flipping her out of the water. The Florida woman couldn't believe what was happening. "It was definitely an unforgettable experience," Egner recalled, adding that she's never encountered an interaction quite like this.
