Huawei plans to launch 5G in Morocco and wants ‘the Kingdom to be the first to launch 5G in Africa.”Rabat – Huawei, a global provider of information and communications technology infrastructure and devices, outlined the goal for its Moroccan operations at the 9th annual North African suppliers conference in Skhirat, south of Rabat today, Thursday July 18. “We are the [world] leaders in 5G, and we want to be the leader in Morocco,” said Chakib Achour, the marketing and strategy director of Huawei in Morocco. “We want the Kingdom to be the first to launch 5G in Africa,” he specified. Moroccan telecommunications provider Inwi announced in March that it was ready to launch 5G. Huawei is not the only player on the Morocco 5G field.
