How we narrowly escaped death when rainstorm destroyed our homes — Displaced Plateau villagers


JAMES ABRAHAMFifty-five-year-old David Gobum, a peasant farmer in Langshi community, Kanke Local Government Area of Plateau State, is currently experiencing a low moment of his life. Apart from Langshi, other communities affected by the rainstorm included Amper, Kopgin, Dungun, Munok, and Kogtok. There is no other secondary school in the community except the Government Secondary School Langshi. While they were contemplating which clothes to wear, the couple stated that a strong wind blew off their house roof and threw it into a nearby bush. At Langshi community, a building housing several fertiliser shops was brought down by the wind.
