Entrepreneurs are people who provide value. They start from scratch to create and build wealth and in the process, they provide jobs and solutions to other societal problems. Unfortunately today, people take from the public till to ‘create’ businesses and demand kickbacks from contracts they never laboured for, just because they have the privilege of occupying positions of trust. About 30 years ago while I was trying to engage in ‘supplies’ business to raise capital to start something for myself, I met a baffling situation in one of the organisations I visited. The entrepreneur who has to labour to source funds with which to run the business continues to face frustrations.
