Building homes is one of the many accomplishments of the GTA’s building, development and professional renovation industry. Members of our industry also spend countless hours and many thousands of dollars every year giving back to the communities they are working to create. Among our many philanthropic initiatives is Building Industry and Land Development Association’s (BILD) community partnership with Habitat for Humanity GTA, the local arm of the well-regarded charity that builds affordable homes for low-income families. It’s a perfect fit — we’re both in the business of building homes. This year, our partner family is the Mohammeds, a family of seven currently living in a rented, poorly maintained home in an unsafe neighbourhood.
