One of my former bosses once gave me negative feedback, but it hurt more than it helped me grow. How should I deliver negative feedback to my team members without offending them? True, some people have caused more harm than good by giving negative feedback irresponsibly or ignorantly. Very often, it is not the content of negative feedback but the manner in which it is dispensed that maims the receiver. Might it be an unsupported opinion, a tool for dressing down a team member or an opportune weapon for settling a stewing grudge?
