All ministers are provided with a government residence without rent as befitting their stations. Medical expenses of ministers and their immediate family members and dependents are borne by the government. The prime minister and the prime minister's family is entitled to any mode of transportation deemed convenient at all times. Ministers, state ministers, and deputy ministers are issued one vehicle for official use, and a second vehicle when visiting outside Dhaka. Ministers are also entitled to varying numbers of assistants, aides, and attendants, whose salary and transportation costs are covered by the government.
