Three senior government officials are set to fly to Germany to inspect a digital camera that is being bought to cover activities of the prime minister. Explaining the logic behind sending three people – who had no professional experience of cameras – to inspect a single camera, Liakat said the country had “no expert of this type. The officials would travel to Germany for a “pre-shipment inspection” of the camera and other equipments, read the GO which was signed by the Information Ministry's Deputy Secretary Nilufar Nazneen. The camera itself is costing 35,000 euros, he said, adding that it was being bought as part of the DFP's digitisation. But we are confident about our own capacities after working two years.”Also asked to comment on this issue, Information Secretary Martuza Ahmed said the DFP DG would be able to give a detailed answer.
