While Double D’s pizza, with its sky-high crusts and abundant fillings, was definitely delicious, Martinello wondered whether it would be any healthier than a traditional slice. While some people will devour the whole thing in one sitting, Double D’s says the small pizza is meant for two people. At Pizza Pizza, an entire small-size (10-inch; six pieces) meat supreme pizza has 1,500 calories, 66 grams of fat and 4,560 milligrams of sodium. As for the frozen variety, a Dr. Oetker Casa di Mama three-meat pizza contains 880 calories and 32 grams of fat; that means eating half the Double D’s pizza is the same as eating this entire frozen pizza. The Star spoke to the owner of Double D’s who declined to provide comments.
