How long should it take the city to fix tripping hazards? Not this long

How long should it take to fix four sections of collapsed sidewalk brick and get rid of two other hazards in the same stretch that could trip pedestrians? On the east side of Kenneth Avenue, where a half-dozen tripping hazards can be found along a 50-metre length of sidewalk, the city is taking an oh-so-leisurely approach to the repairs. To suggest they’re safety measures put in place after I first alerted the city to them is incorrect. The same barrels and pylons, in exactly the same places, were still there when I went back last week. STATUS: I sent another note to the city last week, pointing out that nothing had been done, despite its earlier assurances it would be fixed as soon as possible.
